This Wednesday, Crystal will be facilitating a discussion on literature.
Some questions will include, what is the canon of literature? What makes it in, what doesn’t and why do some things remain on the outskirts? What is the importance of literature?

The Battle of Stalingrad novel I mentioned that involved a separate pronoun for discourse between lovers is called “Days and Nights” and it’s by Konstantine Simonov, written in 1945. Just an example of reading in a non-original language through a translator.

What were all of the books that we were “shamed” to admit that we haven’t read? 1984 comes to mind but that’s the only one I can think of.
